7R, a developer of warehouse and industrial space, has joined the Polish Green Building Council (PLGBC). The company has designed and built several eco-friendly buildings, including an award-winning R&D center for the BWI Group, which features a triggering system. 7R aims to share its experience and best practices in the field of sustainable construction with the real estate market.

The Polish Green Building Association is a non-governmental organization that, since its founding in 2008, has been dedicated to radically improving design, investment, and building utilization in Poland so that sustainable construction becomes the industry standard. 7R’s goal is to make green practices the norm in the Polish warehouse real estate market.

Joining this group of leaders in green transformation is a natural step for the company to support eco-friendly initiatives and a commitment to build facilities of the highest quality in the Polish commercial real estate market. At the beginning of this year, 7R, as the first developer of warehouse and industrial space in the country, launched a company policy based on the principles of sustainable construction, aimed at providing eco-friendly buildings. A dedicated R&D team has been established within the company to analyze and implement new solutions and technologies that support a pro-ecological impact on the industry. Additionally, the team is also responsible for analyzing energy consumption levels and CO2 emissions.

Under the 7R policy, the developer focuses on three areas:

  • an innovative approach to construction that reduces the environmental impact,
  • environmentally friendly solutions that make use of a building’s natural surroundings,
  • ecological certification, which confirms the quality of 7R's investments.

Our modern approach to ecology and the implementation of sustainable construction solutions encompasses not only the investment process itself, but also the design phase and the creation of a people-friendly space. We achieve these goals by leading the way in driving change and by collaborating with our business partners, and we are highly valued for this.

Ryszard Gretkowski

Vice President of 7R

The 7R developer decided to announce its sustainability policy this year, even though the company has been constructing green buildings for much longer. The new research and development center of the BWI Group in Balice, which won this year’s Prime Property Prize in the “Green Building” category, is an example of a distinctive eco-friendly project. The trigeneration system used in the office and laboratory of this facility enables a gas turbine to generate energy for electricity, heating, cooling, and ventilation.
