Retail is giving way to e-commerce. The pandemic is changing consumer habits, driving the growth of the online shopping sector, and creating new needs in logistics and warehousing. This necessitates a reorganization of the supply chain, which means increasing storage space and keeping inventory closer to the consumer. 7R, as the first warehouse developer in Poland, is responding dynamically to the new market realities by offering its tenants facilities with a ceiling height increased to 12 meters. This solution will significantly reduce the costs of storing goods and allow for more efficient use of warehouse space.
The European Union, excluding the United Kingdom, is the third-largest e-commerce market in the world, with total online retail sales of $412 billion annually. According to the latest RetailX report, Central Europe accounts for approximately 69% of total online sales on the continent, and forecasts indicate that the growth rate of e-commerce in Poland could reach as high as 30% in 2020. The pandemic is and will remain the biggest driver of online commerce. Moreover, new consumer habits are here to stay and will have a direct impact on the direction of the warehouse market’s development in Poland.

High standards, high-ceilinged hall
The 12-meter-high 7R warehouses will feature reinforced floor load-bearing capacity, making it possible to install multi-level mezzanines. A taller industrial building means greater pallet capacity. System trolleys and induction loops are ideal for such facilities, as they optimize aisle width and thereby increase warehouse capacity.
