7R, a Polish warehouse developer, is implementing new technology to manage risks associated with flat roofs. The “Smart Roof” platform, developed by Sense Monitoring, helps prevent roof overloads by alerting building managers in advance to potential hazards. 7R will implement the system at the 7R Park Gdańsk II logistics complex in Kowale, where the monitored roof will ultimately cover over 60,000 sq m of modern warehouse space.
The flat roofs of industrial and warehouse buildings are exposed to changing weather conditions, such as heavy rain and hail. To fully eliminate the risks associated with potential overloads, Sense Monitoring has developed a web-based tool that combines key features for managing large-scale roofs.
