7R, a Polish warehouse developer, is implementing a new technology to manage the risks associated with flat roofs. The “Smart Roof” platform, developed by Sense Monitoring, helps prevent roof overload by alerting the building manager in advance of potential danger. 7R will implement the system at the 7R Park Gdańsk II logistics complex in Kowale, where a monitored roof will cover over 60,000 square meters of modern warehouse space.
The flat roofs of industrial and warehouse buildings are exposed to harsh weather conditions such as heavy rain or hail. To fully mitigate the risks associated with potential overloads, Sense Monitoring has developed a web-based tool that combines key features for managing large-area roofs.

Today, as climate change increasingly triggers extreme weather events, agile and remote property management is becoming more and more important. The “Smart Roof” platform is a PropTech solution designed to meet the needs of warehouse facilities. It collects, analyzes, and archives data 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If the system detects a threat, it notifies the user of the need to take security measures in the affected building.
