7R is the first warehouse developer in Poland to launch an innovative product line called 7R Green. Its main goal is to deliver facilities where eco-friendly solutions help minimize the impact on the environment. Construction of the first warehouse built according to this new green concept will begin in the first half of the year.

The severe impacts of global warming and the 2015 Paris Agreement—which established the first binding global action plan to mitigate climate change—have led the logistics industry to increasingly prioritize sustainable construction.

We certify all our facilities under the international BREEAM system, which confirms the use of green building solutions. However, taking it a step further, we have created the eko 7R Green product line in response to advancing climate change. Moreover, this need is also frequently raised by clients and tenants in the logistics sector. Green practices must become the standard in the warehouse real estate market. This is an important step toward mitigating adverse changes to the natural environment.

Tomasz Lubowiecki

CEO of 7R

The 7R Green concept focuses primarily on significantly reducing the energy consumption of the warehouses it supplies through the use of a range of modern solutions.

In the warehouses to be built as part of the new 7R Green product line, we will install solar panels to cover part of our tenants’ electricity needs. We will also provide charging stations for electric vehicles. An important step is the ongoing testing of the BMS system, which monitors the efficiency of equipment and facilitates effective building management. LED solutions have proven highly effective so far; combined with increased daylight in the loading zones, they help reduce our tenants’ utility costs. We also plan to introduce motion sensors and dynamic lighting in the DALI system, which will adapt to changing environmental conditions. We will continue to prioritize the quality of our solutions, and the buildings we construct will have higher thermal insulation coefficients than other buildings of a similar class.

Maciej Krawiecki

Head of Leasing at 7R

Construction of the first building designed and built under the 7R Green eco-friendly approach will begin in the first half of the year in Sosnowiec.

7R is a Polish developer of modern warehouse space that has been in business for 10 years. The company’s portfolio currently includes over 600,000 square meters of space, with an additional 700,000 square meters at various stages of development across locations throughout Poland.
