7R is the first warehouse developer in Poland to create an innovative eco-friendly warehouse—7R Green. The company’s main goal is to provide facilities in which ecological solutions will help minimize their impact on the natural environment. Construction of the first warehouse, designed in accordance with the new green concept, will begin in the first half of the year.

The Paris Agreement, signed in 2015, established the first binding global action plan to mitigate climate change and the severe effects of global warming. In recent years, the logistics industry has increasingly focused on sustainable construction.

We certify all of our facilities under the international BREEAM standard, which confirms our use of green construction solutions. However, we decided to go one step further by creating the 7R Green eco product line in response to the growing threat of climate change. The issues of sustainability and the need to protect the environment are increasingly being raised by customers and tenants in the logistics industry. Green practices must become the standard in the warehouse real estate market. This is an important step toward mitigating the adverse effects on the natural environment.

Tomasz Lubowiecki

Chairman of the Board at 7R

The 7R Green concept focuses primarily on maximizing the energy efficiency of warehouses brought to market, which is achieved through the use of modern solutions.

In the warehouses built as part of the new 7R Green product line, we will use solar panels to cover part of our tenants’ electricity needs. We will also provide charging stations for electric vehicles. We decided to take our efforts even further and have already begun testing a BMS system, which monitors the performance of installed devices and supports efficient building management. LED solutions have proven successful so far. Combined with increased daylight exposure in adjacent dock areas, this solution will reduce utility costs for our tenants. We also intend to introduce motion detectors and the DALI system for dynamic lighting, which is designed to adapt to changing environmental conditions. We will continue to focus on the quality of our solutions, and the facilities we build will have higher thermal insulation coefficients than other buildings of a similar class.

Maciej Krawiecki

Head of Leasing at 7R

Construction of the first warehouse facility designed and built as part of the 7R Green eco-friendly initiative will begin in Sosnowiec, Poland, in the first half of 2020.

7R is a Polish developer of modern warehouse space that has been active in the market for the past 10 years. The company’s portfolio currently includes over 600,000 square meters of space, with an additional 700,000 square meters planned for various locations across Poland, currently at different stages of development.
