7R, a developer specializing in the construction of high-quality warehouses, has established a “Green Team.” This group of more than a dozen experts from various fields will be responsible for developing and implementing eco-friendly solutions. The goal is to build a zero-emission warehouse.

The Green Team consisted of property managers, engineers, project managers, development experts, and architects. The “Green Team” was led by Piotr Miodek, Head of Construction & Engineering and Head of Sustainability at 7R. He is an experienced manager who has been involved in the logistics industry for over 12 years. He is an expert in creating and implementing ESG strategies. He advises tenants on the use of effective eco-friendly solutions that enhance the operational and cost efficiency of buildings. He is also responsible for projects developed under the BTS model.

Caring for the environment and reducing our impact on climate change are among the most important factors shaping our future. Alongside the development of artificial intelligence, investments in ESG projects are crucial today. That is why, at 7R, we have decided that these initiatives will guide our future growth. Our goal is to create a functional zero-emission building.

Tomasz Lubowiecki

CEO and founder of 7R

The strength of the “Green Team” at 7R lies in the people who make it up. It consists of a dozen or so experts in their respective fields who also share a passion for ecology; among them are a beekeeper, a steam-gas engine builder, an expert with 40 years of experience in construction, a chemist by training, and a vegan… The experts have been divided into working groups that analyze and set new directions for development in areas such as: BREEAM, the European Green Deal, taxonomy, hydrogen utilization, and the specifications for a zero-emission warehouse that takes into account both embodied and operational carbon footprints.

We wanted our green team to be made up of passionate people—people who care deeply about the environment and are interested in climate change. Building such a diverse team allows us to analyze new technological solutions from every angle, both technical and practical. This gives us the opportunity to implement new solutions more quickly and pursue innovation. It will enable us to achieve our ambitious climate goals.

Piotr Miodek

Head of Construction & Engineering and Head of Sustainability at 7R

As part of its green initiative, 7R will develop energy-efficient warehouses that will offer tangible savings to tenants and future owners. All planned projects are evaluated to ensure the maximum reduction of their carbon footprint. Over the next few years, 7R plans to develop several projects with a carbon footprint 50% lower than that of standard buildings constructed in 2021.

At the same time, 7R has implemented a strategy aimed at bringing competitively priced zero-emission warehouses to market by 2026. In addition, 7R will publish another ESG report later this year.
