7R, a developer specializing in the construction of high-quality warehouses, will equip 7R Park Wrocław West II with an energy storage facility. This innovative solution, unprecedented in facilities of this type, will enable the storage of energy and thus significantly reduce the carbon footprint.
Construction is underway on 7R Park Wrocław West II, a low-carbon development by 7R being carried out in line with the developer’s decarbonization strategy. Work is currently underway on the building’s exterior and roof insulation. The general contractor is Kajima Poland, which places a strong emphasis on environmental protection during construction.
For the 7R Park Wrocław West II project, the developer has opted for an innovative solution. An energy storage system will be installed in the building to store electricity generated by photovoltaic panels.
This solution is unprecedented in facilities of this type. It will allow for the storage of green energy generated by the PV system during peak production. This energy can be used when solar energy production is lower and electricity demand in the building is higher. The energy storage system has a capacity of 200 kWh.

In addition, 7R Park Wrocław West II will ultimately be equipped with further innovative solutions designed to significantly reduce the building’s operational emissions. In addition to heating and ventilation systems featuring high-efficiency heat pumps and heat-recovery ventilation, the building will also be equipped with an advanced BMS control system, energy-efficient LED lighting, and a photovoltaic system for generating clean energy. All of this will enable 7R to apply for BREEAM certification at the highest level: Outstanding.
7R Park Wrocław West II is being developed in Kąty Wrocławskie. The warehouse will have direct access to the A4 highway (Kąty Wrocławskie Interchange). The eco-friendly solutions implemented at 7R Park Wrocław West II will reduce operational CO2 emissions by over 50% compared to buildings constructed in accordance with the technical requirements of building codes.
The entire facility has already been fully leased to Yusen Logistics. The tenant will occupy nearly 42,000 square meters of warehouse space and over 1,000 square meters of office space. Construction of 7R Park Wrocław West II is scheduled to be completed in the second quarter of 2024.
