7R is joining the Urban Land Institute to work alongside other members of the organization to actively shape the future of the real estate industry and establish the highest quality standards in the warehouse market.

The Urban Land Institute (ULI) is the world’s oldest and largest network of interdisciplinary experts in real estate and urban planning. As a nonprofit organization, it researches issues critical to improving quality of life and promoting sustainable development in urban areas.

Until now, office buildings and the retail sector have shaped the architecture of cities. Today, this important role also falls to warehouses, which are becoming a key feature of urban landscapes, serving as hubs for an increasing share of local community life. 7R is developing a network of 7R City Flex last-mile warehouses, located within a 30-minute drive of city centers and streamlining supply chains in their final leg. The location of these facilities within the administrative boundaries of Polish metropolitan areas means that the developer is effectively shaping the country’s urban spaces.

Warehouse developers are becoming key architects of sustainable solutions in cities, and the growth and professionalization of this sector mean that its representatives bear increasing responsibility for the environment, the economy, and local communities. At 7R, care for the environment and the people involved in our projects is one of the most important elements of our business strategy. We have established a department within the company dedicated to researching and developing new eco-friendly solutions for our facilities, ensuring the aesthetic quality of our buildings, and designing street furniture that enhances the comfort of the spaces we create. We also prioritize partnerships and the exchange of experiences. Joining ULI guarantees us access to a global platform for the exchange of knowledge and best practices in the field of sustainable construction and urban trends.

Tomasz Lubowiecki

CEO of 7R

The Urban Land Institute’s mission is to promote responsible land use and to build and support communities around the world. ULI’s publications, webinars, and educational workshops offer inspiration and practical guidance to help members grow their businesses. ULI also provides access to the latest research, reports, and best practices.

The Urban Land Institute’s global membership includes representatives from a wide range of professions and industries. It is not limited to architects, developers, or companies operating in the commercial or residential real estate markets. It is an organization that brings together various specialists within a horizontal structure. As a result, it serves as a forum for the exchange of ideas, experiences, and best practices across many fields, in line with the principles of sustainable urban development and land use planning. That is why we are so pleased that a company active in the warehouse market—7R—has joined the ranks of ULI Poland’s corporate members. We strive to closely monitor market changes and their impact on the environment and urban communities. The warehouse industry, as a whole, certainly still has much to achieve, for example, in terms of environmental awareness in many development processes. We hope that cooperation with market leaders such as 7R will contribute to further positive changes in this area on the Polish market.

Dorota Wysokińska-Kuzdra

Chairwoman of ULI Poland

Despite stable energy demand, CO2 emissions from the operation and construction of buildings worldwide reached an all-time high in 2019. Together with the production, transport, and use of building materials, this accounts for 38% of global CO2 emissions, according to the 2020 Global Status Report for Buildings and Construction published by the Global Alliance for Buildings and Construction.

At 7R, we take responsibility for reducing the carbon footprint of our buildings. This is, of course, a long-term, phased process that depends largely on awareness, but also on the specific needs of our tenants. In our logistics parks and urban warehouses, we offer a range of solutions—such as efficient energy and water management, solar power, LED lighting, BMS, and more—that will help our clients choose a property that aligns with their sustainability strategy.
