7R, a developer specializing in the construction of high-quality warehouses, is implementing a decarbonization plan. The plan aims to reduce the company’s carbon footprint by 42 percent by 2030 and to systematically decarbonize individual warehouse projects. At the same time, 7R is joining the SBTi and publishing its latest ESG report.
7R is the first warehouse developer in Poland to have its decarbonization targets verified by the SBTi (Science-Based Targets Initiative). The SBTi is a joint initiative of the CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project), the United Nations Global Compact, the World Resources Institute (WRI), and WWF. SBTi helps companies clearly define greenhouse gas emission reduction targets in line with the goals of the Paris Agreement. By joining SBTi, 7R is taking another step toward sustainable development and committing to global efforts to combat climate change.
Our commitment to the SBTi is yet another demonstration of our environmental responsibility and another step toward reducing greenhouse gas emissions. By setting and verifying science-based targets, we aim to reduce our negative environmental impact and contribute to a more sustainable future for Poland and the world.

Head of Construction & Engineering and Head of Sustainability at 7R
The decision to have its targets verified by the SBTi is part of the company’s strategy to decarbonize its operations and develop innovative, energy-efficient, and environmentally sustainable warehouse solutions.
7R’s decision to join the SBTi comes at a time when sustainability and climate action are of the utmost importance. With this move, 7R reaffirms its position as one of the leaders in responsible business within the real estate sector. To reduce Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 42% by 2030 compared to the 2022 baseline, we have jointly developed a detailed decarbonization plan, which is currently being implemented.
Jerzy Wójcik
CEO at JWA, a consulting firm supporting 7R in the process of applying and implementing these goals
The decarbonization plan includes reducing energy consumption in the offices leased by 7R, lowering fuel consumption in its vehicle fleet, and purchasing energy from renewable sources through a power purchase agreement (PPA). In addition, the company will measure and reduce Scope 3 emissions associated with its development projects. The first project being built in accordance with the adopted decarbonization strategy is 7R Park Wrocław West II. The solutions implemented in this project are expected to reduce operational CO2 emissions by over 50 percent, and further projects aimed at achieving full carbon neutrality are already in the works.
7R has also published another ESG report, setting out additional sustainability goals for the coming years.
Our products—low-carbon warehouses and logistics facilities—are not only subject to a decarbonization plan but also to specific actions and ambitious goals in the environmental, social, and governance (E, S, and G) areas. Both our ESG Report and our commitment to the SBTi, as well as the establishment of the Green Team, summarize two years of our efforts to create a clear decarbonization pathway and increase transparency in business. We hope that these initiatives will serve as a source of motivation for other market participants and encourage them to follow our example.
